About the Artist.
“As an artist, I believe that art has the power to help us to heal, feel and understand in ways that our transcend our own emotional and spiritual capabilities. In striving to create emotionally accessible artworks that explore the universal experiences that make us human, it is my hope that together we can better understand not only who we are, but where we have come from.”
Working primarily in pen and acrylic (with the occasional shotgun blast), Alyce’s works are steeped in metaphor, nostalgia and her personal and family’s history. Through the use of animal forms, she continually seeks to explore and expose the subtle emotions of the human experience.
Alyce currently lives and works out of her studio in Launceston, Tasmania while her works live in private collections in Australia and around the world.
